In most of its publications, the American Botanical Council provides peer-reviewed summaries of research trials that almost always have been published in peer-reviewed journals. During the peer-review process, the statistical values reported in the trial manuscript and/or the conclusions of the research, can be changed.

Clinical Trial Shows Fungi Perfecti Turkey Tail Mushroom Extract Useful in Breast Cancer. 1-13-11. Research update from Fungi Perfecti. According to Fungi Perfecti, a manufacturer and seller of mushroom products, a recent, unpublished, NIH-funded clinical trial on its Turkey Tail mushroom (Trametes versicolor) extract found the product to "support immune function when administered to women with stage I-III breast cancer."
