A Hawaii-based company is developing a transdermal delivery method for psilocin, the pharmacologically active compound resulting from the dephosphorylation of psilocybin, as a strategy to reap the benefits of the psychedelic without the side effects arising from oral ingestion.

Researchers Solve Mystery of How Stingless Bees Produce Trehalulose-Rich Honey. Sci-news. August 26, 2021. Researchers have discovered that trehalulose, the low glycemic sugar that is the hallmark of the "healthy" honey made by stingless bees, originates from the bees themselves as a metabolite of sucrose.

This Popular Juice May Reduce Your Heart Disease Risk, New Study Says. Eat This, Not That! August 27, 2021. A new study performed with rats has correlated pomegranate juice supplementation with significantly improving key cardiovascular disease markers including LDL, HDL, and blood pressure although more research is required to investigate its effects in humans.

Moringa, with its long, alien-looking pods, is a nutritional and medicinal powerhouse. All parts of the moringa plant have been used medicinally in Asia, India, and Africa, but it is specifically moringa leaf that may provide a solution to malnutrition and maternal care in underserved communities. Drought resistant and packed with vitamins, minerals, and protein, moringa has been labeled as a plant that “might save the world.”
