September 16-19, 2008: XX Symposium of Brazilian Medicinal Plants & X International Congress of Ethnopharmacology. Frei Caneca Convention Center, São Paulo, Brazil. This joint event is directed to students, researchers, and other health professionals interested in the main advances in the knowledge of medicinal plants. It will include renowned lecturers from Brazil and abroad, discussing the various themes relevant to medicinal plant research, such as agronomy, botany, chemistry, ethnopharmacology, pharmacology and all its correlated disciplines. Also included will be plenary lectures, mini-conferences, round tables, coordinated sessions, posters and mini-courses. Additionally, special sessions are being organized to comprehensively discuss six selected genera: Baccharis, Cordia, Erythrina, Maytenus, Mikania and Phyllanthus.
