Plants of Semillas Sagradas: An Ethnomedicinal Garden in Costa Rica is written by Rafael Ocampo and Michael J. Balick and published in 2009 by La Nueva Extractos. Paperback; 109 pages.

This book provides profiles of 250 plant species common in the Semillas Sagradas (sacred seeds) enthomedicinal sanctuary in Costa Rica. Entries include common and Latin names, description, history and traditional uses, pharmacology and biological activity, toxicity, and conservation status and trade. Printed on 100% recycled paper with vegetable-based inks, this book is intended to provide a better understanding of the importance of conservation of these medicinal plants, as well as a history of the sanctuary.

A free PDF copy of the entire book is available on the website of Finca Luna Nueva Lodge, a rainforest eco-lodge where the sanctuary is located.
