Panax notoginseng is a member of the aralia family (Araliaceae) and is native to China. Variously called notoginseng, sanchi, tienchi, sanqi, or tianqi, the root is used to improve circulation, and treat cardiovascular issues, traumatic injuries, and bleeding.

The American Botanical Council (ABC) is passionate about helping people live healthier lives through the responsible use of herbs and medicinal plants.
