CayenneLG

Cayenne is a common name for Capsicum annuum and C. frutescens, annual peppers high in capsaicin. Capsaicin extracts are used externally for neuralgia, neuropathy, psoriasis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, cluster headache and chronic rhinopathy. Internally, cayenne and its extracts are used for circulation and protection from gastrointestinal cell damage and peptic ulcers.

The American Botanical Council (ABC) is passionate about helping people live healthier lives through the responsible use of herbs and medicinal plants. As an independent, nonprofit education organization, ABC is dedicated to providing accurate and reliable information for consumers, healthcare practitioners, researchers, educators, industry and the media.

Please enjoy this information on cayenne made available through the generosity of Nature's Sunshine’s adoption.
