The centerpiece of this certificate program is the 144-hour Integrative Herbalism unit, which brings together studies in physiology, pathology, herbal actions, and Materia Medica. It begins with the basics of Vitalist healing, then moves through the function of tissues, organs, and systems, and the actions of herbs most commonly used to support them. Also included in the program are holistic nutrition, field botany, and plant identification, herbal pharmacy, flower essence studies, aromatherapy, and a class on herbs and supplements of commerce.
