This graduate-level survey course provides a comprehensive study of botanical materia medica. Graduates of this course will be expected to demonstrate an advanced knowledge base of the materia medica - principles of various concepts in botanical medicine - including acquiring a strong theoretical understanding of the efficacy based on current research papers of selected botanicals such as alteratives, demulcents, cathartics, anthelmintics, astringents, digestives, anti-inflammatories, and diuretics. https://www.achs.edu/academics/herbal-medicine/courses/herb-502
