In celebration of the new Herb Garden, Memphis Botanic Garden is hosting an Herb Symposium on June 9th. This event appeals to everyone from the novice horticulturist to the experienced herb gardener. Featured speakers include Richo Cech, Steven Foster, and Susan Belsinger. 

The day will be divided into breakout sessions that will include topics such as Yes, You Can Eat a Rose!, The Art of Flavor - A Sensory Herb Experience, Herb Walk, Making Salves, Cooking with Herbs, Herb Magic, Legend and Lore, Herbs Around the World, Spa Herbs - How to Pamper Yourself Naturally, Sips and Samplers, and Medicinal Plants in World Traditions. 

The registration fee is $125 ($100 for MBG or Memphis Herb Society members) and includes all programs and lunch as well as a garden tour and opening reception on Friday evening. This opening Herb Garden party will feature live music, a meet and greet with the speakers, a book signing, and delicious food by the Memphis Herb Society.
