April 23-25, 2012: Jean Andrews Lecture - Mark Blumenthal Series. University of Texas at Austin Campus & the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Austin, TX, USA. The annual Jean Andrews lecture will feature Mark Blumenthal, founder and director of the American Botanical Council. Blumenthal will speak about the health benefits of herbal supplements in the U.S. with an emphasis on the safety and efficacy of leading botanical-based products. The Jean Andrews lecture honors the Austin writer and artist and patron of the plant biology program at the university. The late Jean Andrews was the author of several books, including Peppers: the Domesticated Capsicums.
