Headquartered on a Republic of Texas land grant homestead, the nonprofit American Botanical Council (ABC) uses its 20+ theme gardens as one of its primary onsite educational tools. ABC is offering a tour of its facility, including information about the Case Mill Homestead, the rainwater harvesting system, ABC’s missions and goals, and, of course, the medicinal and culinary gardens. $5 entry fee includes a complimentary copy of ABC’s flagship journal, HerbalGram. No reservations required; just show up between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Self-guided tours of ABC’s gardens are available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM until 6:00 PM. Since 1995, the Garden Conservancy Open Days program has worked to fuel the public’s passion for gardens and gardening. More than a million visitors have visited thousands of inspired gardens in 41 states. The American Botanical Council is pleased to be invited to participate on Saturday, November 4, 2017.
